Cat Thoreson, Founder
What started as a passion project for Cat, has now become a full-time labor of love. You will find “Coach Cat” leading the charge for all of our Baltimore classes.
Meghan Smith, Director of Coaching
We’re thrilled to bring on our newest hire as the Director of Coaching for Carroll County. Meghan is a mom of three, 4th grade teacher, and has over 15 years of coaching experience. The cherry on top?! She’s a former Hofstra teammate of Cat’s.
Paige Venker, Head Coach
Paige has been with the Little Lacrosse Academy since it’s inception. First as a mom of the program and now as a Head Coach! She’s a Cockeysville-native, former Hopkins stand-out, and a nurse at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. What she’s most excited about this season? Working with kids and helping them to foster a love for the game of lacrosse!
Dana Wanyo, Head Coach
Dana is a new face with the Little Lacrosse Academy coming into her first season with the program. She is a Manhasset, NY native, alum of the University of Massachusetts, and a former coach of Long Island’s Police Athletic League. In between raising her two little lacrosse stars, Brayden (5) and Brooks (3), she is a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. Dana couldn’t be more thrilled to coach again and looks forward to a successful fall.
We are committed to delivering a positive and engaging experience in all of our classes and within our program. If you have comments (positive or constructive) or suggestions about our programming, staff, equipment, facilities, or anything else for that matter, please get in touch!
Have a question about our classes, programs, locations, to name a few? We encourage you to check out our FAQ’s page first but invite you to email us if you can’t find what you’re looking for!
We’re always looking for new talent to join our team! If you have a passion for lacrosse or a desire to impact lives through sport, we’d love to hear from you! Please note all staff must undergo a background check, complete a comprehensive training program, and are subject to routine evaluations.
